I thought I heard everything.
But not until I disected this call in 2021 had I heard it. A customer called in, my wife and I working together as we normally did. Customer was calling in with what appeared to be a no powersituatiom that at least required a reset. We could not get into his system remotely. As I listened from a distance for about 20 minutes I decided to jump in on the phone with her. She had alerady gone through a series of questions that I had prompted, but i started over.
I have no power.
Do your neighbors have power? Yes.
When did your solar go out? This morning after they came. Who came? The utility linemen came and itstopped working after that? Is the disconnect in the up or on position? Yes. Black circle DC disconnect switch tuurned to teh right? YES. No lights at all? No. The red toggle switch to the left in the middle, did we pull it to the left and let it go. Yes. It stopped immediately after they left. Are all the breakers on? yes. As I started to gear up to make a drive for a service call because all of the SE product was failing at that time, so I assumed another shit inverter.
Who came this morning? Duke.
This morning? Yes.
But didn't they come last week and install new meter? Yes, but I called them back.
You called them back? yes.
Why? So we could change over, but the inverter broke.
Change over? Yes.
It turns out this customer had called Duke and terminated his account because his solar would now take care of his needs for electricity. Seriously they took the meter. SMH
